John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, andthe life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yetshall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall neverdie. Believest thou this?

It has been said that there are only two kinds of people in the world; believers and unbelievers. We classify people by size, race, economics, education, social position, etc.etc. God classifies us on one simple basic. Do we believe His Word or do we call Him a liar.

I have been blessed to have heard of Jesus as a child. I am thankful that one of my earliest memories is my Sunday school class at a little church in Flint MI. I still remember the earnestness of my teacher, Sis. Mary Chabon, as she told us the stories of Jesus. Sis. Mary has passed on, but the seed she planted remains. I am proud to say, "Yes, I am a believer."

What we believe is important. It is the difference between life and death, heaven or hell. We can place our faith in governments, they have been known to fall. We can trust in riches, but our money can be devalued overnight and be worthless tomorrow. The better choice is to place our faith in the One who created us, died for us, lives as our High Priest, and who is coming again for us that we might be with Him eternally. He speaks from the throne of heaven and promises to be my God eternally if I will but heed His voice and overcome this present world.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

What some consider foolishness, I have embraced with all of my being. I believe that a man hung on a cross and bore my sin. I believe He was wounded for me. I not only believe, but I have experienced the healing that was purchased by His stripes. I am learning to overcome fear and depression by realizing that He was chastised for my peace.

I Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perishfoolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power ofGod.

There are some things that we must believe to be Christian. We may differ in our approach to God, but the thing we have in common is that we believe He exist.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Jesus didn't beat around the bush. He simply declared that if we didn't believe that he was God, we would die as sinners.

John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Jesus stated His absolute Deity and declared that He was the one and only, exclusive, unique way for salvation. He ruled out Mohammed, He discounted Buddha, he dimished Confusious, and set at nought the myriads of idol gods that people look to for salvation.

John 10:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

I believe in His second coming! The signs of the times say that it can't be much longer.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, evenso them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, thatwe which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lordshall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with ashout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpof God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught uptogether with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in theair: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Job expressed this hope.

Job 19:26 And [though] after my skin [worms] destroy this[body],yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shallbehold, and not another; [though] my reins be consumedwithin me.

I don't expect to attain position or power in this world, but I do expect to reign with Him in heaven. The riches of this world don't really matter because it's all going to burn. The very elements of this world will melt with fervent heat. I don't know of a safe or strongbox that will be resistant to this.

I have staked my eternal destiny on the simple story of a God who loved me so much that He came into this world so that He could die for me. I 've not suffered nearly as much as some who have had to give their lives for believing what I believe. I've not given up all that much. But it won't matter. I will be with Him. He will be my God.He will wipe away all tears.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold,the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell withthem, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall bewith them, [and be] their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; andthere shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,neither shall there be any more pain: for the former thingsare passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make allthings new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words aretrue and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega,the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that isathirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I willbe his God, and he shall be my son.

Yes, there are only believers and unbelievers in this world. I'm proud to say, "I am a believer!"
