We are Don and Marie Spooner.
We just celebrated our 54th anniversary and have 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. We presently reside in Henderson, NV. where we relocated from Michigan where I worked for General Motors for 40 years and Marie worked as a medical assistant for a cardiologist.
We decided to get out of the snow. We gave our snowblower to the church and loaded everything into a big truck and headed for the sunshine and have never looked back.
I am an ordained minister of the Apostolic Faith,although I no longer hold papers with any ministerial association. Our public teaching days are over but this website is dedicated to the futherance of the kingdom of God. We trust that by the grace of God, we can simply help and strengthen people as they press along on their spiritual journey. We have never or will we ever ask for money on this website. What do we believe? We believe in one eternal God who manifests Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that the bible is His inspired word. We believe that Jesus is God manifested in flesh for the purpose of our redemption; that He is fully God and fully man in one visible being. We strongly emphasize the cross of Calvary. We believe in the apostles doctrine as set forth in the 2nd chapter of Acts, repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit. We believe that Jesus is returning soon, and that all will appear before Him in judgement. What is our Purpose and Focus? We desire to be a help to anyone who needs to find Christ. Also, to strengthen and encourage those who already know Him. What are these Bible Studies? Some of these bible studies are old and some are new. You will find that we use a lot of scripture text. I am a strong believer that scripture speaks for and interprets itself. Therefore, even though it makes some pieces long, I didn't feel justified in deleting much of the scriptue text. You will find, however, that I have usually kept my comments to a minumum. I like to give the reader credit for being able to think for him or herself. What about our Music? We are in a continuing process of digitally recording some of the old hymns which have passed into the public domain. At present there are about 50 hymns and 8 songs of my own composition.
