Dear Friends: I have a burden I want to share with my "activist" friends, to see if we can do something to make a difference. When I prayed today, I asked God to forgive me and our country for allowing the dismantling of the Ten Commandments, one commandment at a time. Most specifically now I am grieved to the point of despair about the major networks' consideration of allowing programs to have dialogue that takes the Lord's NAME in vain, as something the public needs to consider silly sitcoms as "entertaining" and "current". How low can we go? I am FED UP!! I am writing to every major network, news media, major newspapers' editorial section, elected officials and ADVERTISERS in all of the above to tell them: I am turning my TV OFF!! I also will no longer purchase products from companies that advertise on any network that allows this ridiculous, frivolous, and absolutely unnecessary abuse to occur. I feel backed into a corner, with nowhere to go but fighting out - kicking and screaming, and putting my $$ where my heart is. You may even see me on a street corner with a picket sign. How dare "they" DECIDE to take the HOLY name of OUR GOD in vain, as if it were a good "business decision" to advance the masses.!! I can only wonder what God is thinking and how his heart must ache at the stupidity, ignorance, stiff-necked, wishy-washy, mamby-pamby, cowardly NON STANDS that some educated, sophisticated, "hip", unbelieving controllers of our airways can take, and call it forward thinking and updating. GOD HELP US!! This may be the one that brings HIS wrath NOW!!! I will not watch television until this loony scheme has run its course. And the internet and US Postal Service will know how one person in Plant City feels about this COMMANDMENT!! Sometimes it is difficult to love my country as it slides down the slippery slope into oblivion and further away from the God who established US and the only ONE who can SAVE us. Your ANGRY Friend!!
