Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then
that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son
of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Isn't it a comfort to know,
beyond the shadow of a doubt that we have instant access to the throne of heaven
in the time of trouble. We have a living Savior sitting on the throne of heaven
who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34). We have a High Priest who can identify with
our sorrows and disappointments. He knows what it is like to be tempted. He
knows what a broken heart is all about. He knows weakness and hunger. He also
knows the overcoming power of the Spirit of the living
God.
We can't get through this world
without trouble and tribulation (Acts 14:22), but we serve One who has already
borne our burden and paid the penalty for our sin and failure. He promised
that he would hear before we call and answer while we are yet speaking (Isaiah
65:24). If per chance the answer doesn't come immediately, consider the prophet
Daniel who prayed and fasted for 21 days without an apparent answer.
However, the angel of the Lord informed him that his prayer was heard on the
very first day that he prayed (Daniel 10:12).
Hold on, heaven will move on
your behalf at the simply mention of His name, Jesus.
Psalms 50:15 And call upon
me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify
me.

Humor During a countywide drive to round
up all unlicensed dogs, a patrolman signaled a car to pull over to the
curb. When the driver asked why he had been stopped, the officer pointed
to the big dog sitting on the seat beside him. "Does your dog have a
license?" he asked.
"Oh, no," the man said, "He doesn't need one. I always do the driving." Keep Looking Up! Don & Marie Spooner About Him! Ministries Your thoughts and Inquiries Contact@about-him.com Subscribe to this devotional? Subscribe@about-him.com
