Mark 1:40 ¶ And there came a leper
to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou
wilt, thou canst make me clean.
41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. The man in this verse typifies
each and every one of us. He was a leper. He was unclean. He could not go to the
temple. He was an outcast. He was not considered fit to touch
others. His leprosy ( a type of sin) controlled and dominated his
life.
But Jesus passed by, and faith was
quickened in this man's heart. He saw that His only hope for cleansing was in
Jesus. He cried out to Jesus.
Jesus was moved with compassion
and simply responded, "I will." Jesus didn't make the man plead and beg.
He didn't give him a performance test. He didn't examine the man to see if he
was worthy or how much money he had donated. He simply said, "I
will."
Do you have a problem that
controls and dominates your life? Cry out to Jesus. He will be moved with the
same compassion and give you the same answer that He gave this poor leper; I will!
Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in
all things it behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be
a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make
reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not
an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but
was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without
sin. In

A farmer rushed to his phone one
day to report that his nearest neighbor's house was on fire.
He called 911. In the calmest voice he could muster, he reported the fire was about two miles down the road. The dispatcher asked "How do we get there?" The farmer hesitated a few seconds, then asked, "Don't you guys have those big red trucks anymore?" Keep Looking Up! Don & Marie Spooner About Him!
