Philippians 1:27 ¶ Only let your conversation  be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

It has been said that the Christian is the only bible that some people ever read. You can rest assured that if you claim to be a Christian, the world is watching your manner of living, and will be quick to take note of the slightest misstep. We must walk together with the one singular purpose of promoting the gospel of Christ to a lost and dying world.

Ephesians 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

We need only to read the newspaper to affirm that the days are surely evil. The more that evil presses, the more I must be sensitive to the Spirit of God. We all have many thing that compete for our time. Some are necessary and some are frivious. It is necessary as the days grow more evil, that I spend as much time each day as possible to promote the kingdom of God.

17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

 I must understand and submit to His will. He is not willing that any should perish. It is His desire that all men come to repentance (II Peter 2:9). God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17).

The thing that I must ask myself continually is: Do my deeds and the the words of my mouth promote the kingdom of God or the kingdom of self?

A Motorist driving by a Texas ranch hit and killed a calf that was crossing the road.

The driver went to the owner of the calf and explained what had happened. He then asked what the animal was worth.

"Oh, about $200 today," said the rancher. "But in six years it would have been worth $900. So $900 is what I'm out."

Without saying a word, the motorist sat down and wrote out a check and handed it to the farmer.

"Here," he said, "is a check for $900. It is postdated six years
from today."

Keep Looking Up!
