II Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is]
given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. II Peter 1:21 For the prophecy
came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they
were] moved by the Holy Ghost.
God's Word is Inspired! Can you
think of any other literary work that was written by 40 writers over a span of
1500 years and preserved for another 2000 years without change? For example: The
Dead Sea Scrolls which were buried at the time of Christ contain the writings of
Isaiah. Examination of the text shows it to be virtually identical to that which
we have today. The New Testament was written by
eyewitnesses to the death and resurrection of Jesus. The bible stands as an
historical document that is irrefutable. For example: Josh McDowell who wrote
Evidence That Demands a Verdict had started out to discredit the bible.
When he looked at the record objectively, as one would in a court of law, he was
convinced of the bible's accuracy and was converted to
Christianity.
II Peter 1:16 For we have not
followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and
coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his
majesty.
Conclusion: God has given us His
Word to reveal Himself to us and to point us to Jesus who accomplished our
salvation at Calvary. Scripture from Genesis to Revelation focuses on the
One who is preeminent in all things (Colossians 1:18). God has preserved
His Word throughout the ages, His Word will stand forever and will not
change.

A farmer answered a knock on his
door one morning. An electric company worker handed him a piece of paper stating
that
the electric company would like to run a power line through his pasture. The farmer man said, "No." "I'm sorry," said the worker, "but the law and that paper say we can run the line." The worker then returned to his co-workers in the field. As they began preparations for running the line through the field, the farmer went to his barn and released the biggest, meanest-looking bull you have ever seen into the pasture. As the bull rumbled toward the workers in the field, the farmer hollered, "Show HIM your paper!" Keep Looking Up! Don & Marie Spooner About Him!
