Deuteronomy 6:4 ¶ Hear, O Israel: The LORD
our God [is] one LORD:
5 And thou shalt love the LORD
thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy
soul, and with all thy might.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD
with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.
6 In all thy ways
acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered
him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by
every word of God.
Our God wants it all. He won't settle for second place. He wants every fiber of our being, our heart, our soul, our mind, our instincts, our reactions, our words and our deeds. The older I get, the more I
realize that I don't really know anything. However, God has
given His Word and His Spirit to guide me.
When I am perplexed, which is most
of the time, I have only to commit my ways to Him and place my trust in Him.
He'll take care of the rest.
As I look into His word, I
realize that everything is, of, for, and by Him. Ultimately, His will be the
kingdom, the power and the glory. The best thing I can do is to give it all to
Him and let Him work out the details.

Humor
A little girl, dressed in
her Sunday best, was running as fast as she could, trying not to be late for
Bible class. As she ran she prayed, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!
Dear Lord, please don't let me be late!" As she was running and praying, she
tripped on a curb and fell, getting her clothes dirty and tearing her dress. She
got up, brushed herself off, and started running again. As she ran she once
again began to pray, "Dear Lord, please don't let me be late...
