Her children arise up, and call
her blessed; her husband
also, and he praiseth her.

daughter Teri Weilgorecki in honor of her mother Marie Spooner and presented at

A Tribute to
Mom by Teri Weilgorecki
A soft breeze blows as I bend over
to pick up more clothes
and I look to see her play as the
light shines a certain way,
and a whisp of time goes floating
by
and suddenly it's no longer me,
but mom and I'm the child.
The more time goes on, the more I
see memories like this are such a part of me
that with one certain smell or a
feel in the day or when the sun sets just the right way
I go back I'm a child and mom can
kiss the hurt away.
The memories she's given get
sharpeer it seems,
as the fingerprints of my life
become more like mom than I ever dreamed.
If I had a small part of her
strength, so deep, her quiet dignity ( I fight so to keep) just a touch of her
grace, a portion of her faith, the love and caring that time can't
erase.
Lord, let my love flow in just the
same way
so that my heart leaves an imprint
like mom's
because of the heritage she's
given me of faith and family
are branded into the very soul of
me.
