Colossians 3:1 ¶ If ye then
be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of God. 2. Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth.
When we believed and obeyed
the gospel, we were resurrected with Christ as a new creature ( 2
Corinthians 5:17) and also seated in heavenly places with Him ( Ephesians
2:6 ). Our citizenship changed (Philippians 3:20 ) . We were
delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's
Son (Colossians 1:13 ). Do we really grasp the significance of
this.
Yes, the stock market is plunging
and unemployment is rising. These things only make us look up. We serve a God
who said that all the hairs of our heads were numbered. He clothes the
lily (Matthew 6:28) and feeds the raven. He knows our needs and it is His
good pleasure to give us the kingdom (Luke 12:29-34). So why are we
affected by these things?

stingy was looking for a gift to give one of those friends on his birthday.
Everything was too expensive except for a glass vase that had been broken, which
he could purchase for almost nothing.
He asked the store to send it, hoping his friend would think it has been broken in transit. In due time, he received an acknowledgement: Thanks for the vase," it read.
