I Am Persuaded!
Somebody has said that the earth is nothing more than a speck among the stars and galaxies of the vast universe; and that each of us is but a speck upon that speck. That's rather humbling, isn't it?

However, scripture tells us that our Lord calls each of these stars by name (Is. 40:26). He saw each of us before we were completed in our mother's womb and knew what our destinies would be (Jer. 1:5, 29:11) and that He wrote our names in the Lamb's Book of Life before the very creation of this world (Re. 17:8).

It is humbling to know that we have a God this big, who would look upon specks such we and endue us as believers with the power to become His Sons and Daughters (Jn. 1:12).

Satan preys on our minds to make us think that we are nothing and of no use to the Kingdom of God. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to bear the sins an inequities of all mankind (Is. 53:5-6). He sits on His Father's throne (Re. 3:1), He recalls our names that He wrote in the Lamb's Book of Life and makes intercession for us all. So, “ If God be for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31 ¶ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Satan, “The accuser of the brethren” accuses us before God and brings condemnation for things that we did in times past. But I'm sure that God reminds him that, “When I see the blood his/hers sins have been cast into the deepest part of the sea to be remembered no more.”

Jesus paid for our sins by His death and resurrection. God has wiped our slate clean so Satan has no say in the matter.

Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

So, who or what can possible separate us from the love of Christ ?

Tribulation, Distress, Persecution, Famine, Nakedness, Peril or Sword? Jesus told us that we would have tribulation and distress, but that He had overcome the world (Jn. 16:33).

The writer of Hebrews reminded his readers that they had not yet shed our blood in defense of the gospel (He. 12:4). This could apply to most of us. Many of us in the western world recline in cushy churches while other are dying for the mere fact of saying, “I am a Christian.”

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

While our enemy accounts the church as “Sheep for the Slaughter,” Jesus who loved us so much to shed His blood for our sins accounts us as more than conquerers. Not by our own power but through Him (Php. 4:13).

Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

This old world that wants nothing to do with Jesus is on a collision course with its prescribed destiny with hell will cry out for the rocks to fall and hide them from the face of the One setting on heavens throne (Re. 6:16)..

But the believer who has been fully persuaded has nothing to fear. Death by natural causes is simply a transition from earth to glory. Life is only temporary.

The angels from heaven or the principalities and powers from hell, things of the past or fear of the future cannot separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord because WE ARE PERSUADED that the God who hung on the cross because of His great love for us will never leave or forsake us.

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
