By Faith We Understand How the Worlds Were Framed - Audio

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Genesis 1:1 ¶ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Have you ever watched the Discovery or History TV channels when they try to tell us how life began? It is interesting that God is never included in their theories. Everything just fell into perfect precision by accident. Some things we won't know the complete answer to until we get to heaven, but one  thing we can be assured of; God did it all and He did it all by Himself!

God existed before all matter. He is eternal and self existent. He created the worlds (plural) from nothing, after the counsel of His own will (Ephesians 1:11) and by the power of His Word (Hebrews 1:3).

John 1:1 ¶  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2  The same was in the beginning with God.
3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Scripture tells us that God created it all! No accidents with Him!

Colossians 1:16  For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17  And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Ephesians 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

God created this world for a purpose, that it might be inhabited by people who were created in His own image. Christ, the image of God (He. 1:3) was a Lamb slain before the very foundations of the world (Revelation 13:8).  This tells us that God had redemption in mind before He created anything. If God created all of what we see for the purpose that you and I might have eternal fellowship with Him, I have a hard time believing that it took Him an eternity to do so. Think about it!

Well how can I be so sure? By faith. What makes me believe what many call a fable? Because I have a relationship with Him. His word tells me that if I believe on Him I will be a new creature. Well I did and I am. His word tells me that by His stripes I am healed. Well I have been. His word tells me that if I lay hands on the sick and invoke His name, the sick will be healed. Well, I did and they were healed instantly.

It all boils down to relationship. If His Word can make me a new regenerated creature by the power of His Spirit ( II Corinthians 5:17), I have no problem believing that His Spirit hovered over the primeval waters ( Genesis 1:2) and brought forth dry land. If Jesus could rebuke the wind by a simple word (Mark 4:39), I have no problem believing that He spoke the wind into existence by the power of His Word. The unbeliever cannot understand this, but we understand it by faith.

A simple look at the visible creation makes us stop and think. I live in the Las Vegas area which is know for gambling and odds making. Somebody here will lay odds on anything. I wonder what the odds would be for everything in this universe to evolve in perfect order, by chance? I think I would hold on to my money. It would take more faith to believe the modern theories than to simply accept the word of God.

Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. He is the Word, the Logos, the mind, the will and the intellect of God, who was made flesh for us (John 1:14). In other words,  Jesus is God Almighty and everything was settled in His  mind, before He created anything and everything.

You and I were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) and Jesus is the express image of God’s person or substance (Hebrews 1:3). What am I getting at? Simply this. If Calvary was an accomplished fact in the mind of God before creation, then God knew what the image that He use to enter this world would look like. I just can’t fathom that He would start with a tadpole and then change His mind and say, "Well maybe I'll start out as a fish and then evolve into a man? Or a fish? Or a Baboon?  I’m laughing now, so please join me. No, He knew exactly what our image and the image of Christ would look like and it didn’t take Him ten billion years or whatever to make up His mind. He did it all after the counsel of His will and the power of His Word. This I understand, by faith and for that I can give a hearty, "Thank You Jesus.”
