Devotional - 12-16-2000
For our struggle is not against flesh and
blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of
this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places
(Ephesians 6:12).
There is obviously a spiritual battle
raging for the soul of America. This was quickened to my spirit as I read of
some of our local (Nevada) politicians bemoaning the fact that President-elect
Bush had the audacity to ask for prayer during his recent speech.
These are the same people who have taken
God's name out of our schools and who openly championed unrestricted
abortion during the recent election. Need I continue?
Quite simply, our adversary is simply of
another realm. Therefore our weapons must be those of another realm. Let us
remember Mr. Bush's request and hold up all of our leaders in
prayer.
