Devotional 01-06-2001 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth (Hebrews 11:13 KJV).   This verse has several keywords: They were persuaded of God's promises They embraced His promises They confessed the promises of God As a result they willingly became strangers and pilgrims on this earth. "That's great!" the manager cried, "I thought we'd never get rid of that monstrosity! That had to be the ugliest suit we've ever had! But tell me, why is your hand bandaged?"
