The book of Isaiah has always been one of my favorites. From beginning to end, it focuses on the incarnation of God in the face and person of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 11:1, 12:1-6, 40:3-11, 42:1-9, 52:6, 53:1-12, 63:1-6, 64:1) are examples of this. Isaiah 55:1 ¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Perhaps Isaiah was in the midst of a busy marketplace, where water was being sold in goatskins to those who had the money to pay. No doubt he observed hungry and thirsty people who simply had no money and thus their hunger and thirst was not relieved. If you didn’t have the money, you didn’t get the water. You would have to do the next best thing, either find some other water or go thirsty. Perhaps he observed others with plenty of money , who purchased one thing after another, only to find that it did not fulfill some inner longing that they couldn’t quite define. He asks, “Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread?” Well why do we? How long does it take us to realize that material possessions will never fill the empty place in our hearts. Nor will they secure our eternal destiny. We remember that when God told the rich man that he was going to die, He asked him, "Now whose will these things be?" Isaiah 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. The voice of the Lord speaks through Isaiah and says, "hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness." Verses 3-4 give us a prophesy of the everlasting covenant of salvation that the Lord gives us signed and sealed in the blood of the Lord Jesus . Isaiah 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. 4 Behold, I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people. This is talking about Jesus. God said, "I have given him for a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people." If we will incline our ears and listen to what God is saying we will have life. Jesus said, "I have come that they might have life and have it more abundantly." If we will incline our ears and listen to what God is saying we will have life. We will be a partaker of the everlasting covenant of salvation. We will :
Jesus was moved to stand up and cry out, "If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink." John 7:37 ¶ In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. If we are broke, despondent, in ill health or suffering from the many things that sap our spirits we will answer the call of Jesus. Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. His call is to all races, social economic classes. He has already borne on burdens at Calvary. There he paid the price for our sin and purchased our healing and peace with God, by His stripes. To take His yoke is to come under His authority and let Him teach us. His yoke is not heavy and His burdens are light. Most definitely lighter than the weight of guilt and sin that we often choose to carry around. Friend if you don’t know Jesus, This appeal is for you. If you will come to Him, He will give you rest. You can have peace with God and rest for your soul. In About-Him

Young Zebby just turned seven. His mother took him to Mc Donald's. A debate ensued
about going into play or hurrying through the drive-thru. Momma won.
Zeb then declared, "I'll never eat at McDonald's again! So mom didn't order him anything. Upon realizing this, Zeb declared, "Since I turned seven, I don't get any respect." All I can tell great-grandson Zeb is that it doesn't get any better. Somebody Has Said
