Joel prophesied of the Spirit
Joel 2:28 ¶ And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

The Holy Ghost is the promise of the Father.
Isaiah 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you:
but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
John the Baptist identified Jesus as the Holy Ghost baptiser.
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water;
but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to
unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
The disciples were not to act until they had been baptised with the Spirit.
Luke 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with [them], commanded them that they should
not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which,

Jesus promised to come to us by His Spirit.
John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:18 ¶ I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
The Holy Ghost fell on unified disciples.
Acts 2:1 ¶ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and
it filled all the house where they were sitting.
The Holy Ghost came with the evidence of tongues.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Peter used tongues as evidence that Cornelius had received the Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have
received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
The Holy Ghost is a teacher.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do [them].
John 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will
send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to
your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Ghost enables us to preach with anointing.
1 Corinthians 2:4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
1 Corinthians 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men,
but in the power of God.
The Holy Ghost convicts of sin.
John 16:7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart,
I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness,
and of judgment:
The Holy Ghost speaks of the future.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
This was demonstrated by in the new testament church.
Acts 11:28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified
by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the
world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost
and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
We are promised the same anointing.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
All of God's attributes were in Jesus by the Holy Ghost.
Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall
not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the Father.
Matthew 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of the Son.
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son
into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
The Holy Ghost, the Spirit of the Father and the Son, is the One Spirit that places
us in the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been
all made to drink into one Spirit.

The Holy Ghost draws us to Christ.
John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
We were endowed with God's love by the Holy Ghost.
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in
our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
After believing, we were sealed by the Holy Ghost.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with
that holy Spirit of promise,
The Holy Ghost elevates us above the world.
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness,
and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
We accomplish nothing in our own power, but by the power of the Holy Ghost.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD
The Spirit bears witness that we are God's children.
1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children of God:
The Holy Ghost enables us to preach the gospel.
1 Peter 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
The Holy Ghost bears witness to the gospel by signs and wonders.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?
The Father, The Word and the Spirit are one.
1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Paul asked the Ephesian disciples if they had received the Holy Ghost since believing.
Acts 19:2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?
And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
They hadn't heard of it so Paul checked their water baptism.
3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance,
saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him,
that is, on Christ Jesus.
They responded by being baptised in the name of Jesus.
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
The Holy Ghost bore witness with the evidence of tongues.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and
they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
If you have not received the Holy Ghost , it is yours for the asking.
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that
